My baby can start getting baby jars this month from WIC..

Only Gerber or Beech-Nut are eligible for WIC.

I don't see any o-u on it. Or any hecsher.

Why do you buy with WIC? Are they kosher

I buy Gerber and beech nut; they have a hechsher. It could be you are looking at stage one baby food, which does not have a hechsher. ( not sure why) Stage two of the same company does have. If you go to a kosher grocery they have these companies and the products which has the hechsher.

Yes I get the beechnut stage 2 and it has an OU. It's very small though so it may be hard to find. It is possible that some varieties are not kosher, but there are definitely plenty that are: peas, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, pears, bananas, apples and blueberries. These are all kosher and WIC eligible.

The hechsher on beechnut should be right next to the name of the food on the front of the jar.

Not all flavors are kosher! The Jewish groceries carry only the kosher flavors, but shop rite and other mainstream supermarkets have many more flavors that are not kosher. You need to check each one.
Beech nut Apples, apples and blueberries, pears, sweet corn, squash, carrot, sweet potato peas and a few other flavors are kosher. The pineapple, apple kale, mango, guava, strawberry, spinach, avocado, asparagus and other really great sounding flavors are not kosher last I checked (which was a while ago, so maybe some info is outdated. )

If you have a kosher supermarket near you it may be worth it to go there for WIC items, at least until you figure out which ones you can get.
Also my daughter only liked one company not the other, I don't remember which.

Gerber has a larger variety of fruit combinations. The regular grocery we use doesnt carry it but the pharmacy across the street does

I get Gerber and it has an OU. It’s stage 2 but I’ve been using it since the begining... make sure you are getting the ones that are kosher. Some of the combos have turkey etc. and obviously don’t have an OU on the. The OU should be on the label. I get mine from target usually
