Thinking of planting and growing flowers.

Any suggestions as to what type of flower? And what planter to grow it in?

I have never planted anything before, so would need to be simple with easy to follow directions.

Also no access to a yard. Want to leave it on windowsill. We do have lots of sunlight.

It depends a lot in which zone you live, also which direction is the window facing and how much sunlight does it get each day. Your local flower shop will be your best advisor.
