Does anyone know of a root canal specialist in Brooklyn, or a good dentist who does molar root canals, that accepts Medicaid?

I was told medicaid wont pay for it.
Got a call today from someone who said her daughter is a single mother, she is not working, penniless and needs root canal.
Her mom asked if I can raise $ for her.
I wonder - why cant daughter herself call Bikur Cholim places to raise for herself, why her mom ask me to do it for her?
I am more likely to help those who try to help themselvs.
Thoughts?
is $900 a reasoable cost for a private dentisit root canal?

Perhaps she is embarrassed. Perhaps the daughter does not know her mother is soliciting funds on her behalf. No one is forcing you to give

I just had one done. I paid $1000 for the root canal, $400 for the post, and need another $1000 to do crown. I'm not collecting money for it though, so I'm just holding off.
(Yes I know, holding off is likely what got me here in the first place.)
