Who made up this skipping sizes for kids clothes?
My 5 yr old son outgrew 4-5. 6-7 is too big. My 7 year old is wearing that size.
Any suggestions on stores that sell real size 6?
And my poor 9yr old doesn't fit 8, but the 10 is still too big.
I dont know of anyone who sells clothes size 9. Do you?

I have the same issue! 5 is too small. 6-7 is too big.

Don't know much about boys. But girls wear dresses, sometimes I need bigger size for the length. I end up making a seam down both sides. I think size 9 isn't a size. 6 I've seen
One specific dress I bought this season I took for both kids same size. One needs it for the width and one for the length ha but sometimes I get so frustrated when can't find the right size and fit

I know how to sew, so that helps. Also, different brands run differently, like H&M vs. Old Navy, so if you can try it on in the store, that is best. Don't look at the size label. Although, it can make a 7 year old boy angry if you put him in pants that say "5" on them, they like to feel big...

I'm with you with the 9 year old. All her size 8 (or things that said size 10 but fit like size 8) dresses and skirts are too short, but the size 10 (or size 12 in those brands that run small) are huge and this particular DD prefers things on the shorter side even though I constantly explain that if she won't wear things until they're "perfect" then she will outgrow them very quickly. Siiiiigh.
