How do I cook this? (Or is it cooked?) Doesn’t say navel pastrami on package. Comes in plastic. Is it the same as navel pastrami and can put in chulent or hot water and serve Shabbos day?

I used this the past 2 weeks.
Open the plastic and place the pastrami on top of the cholent. (No bag)
When I took the cholent out to serve I shredded the pastrami as I was spooning the cholent Into the bowl.
Was delicious.

You're supposed to put it with the plastic in the chalont. If you put it in the chulent without the plastic, it gives a very strong smoked taste to the chalont.

Is it the same as navel pastrami or not?
I’d prefer not cooking in plastic it can avoid it.

I used in it my cholent instead of meat. It does have a distinct taste but I really like it! The meat was soft and delicious.
