My daughter started lexapro 4 weeks ago. Startimg dose was 2.5mg and we slowly upped it to 5mg. At 5mg shes having one episode of maniac a day. I cant take it any longer!!!! At 3mg she was x having manic episodes so doc said to go back to 3mg. So now shes been 2 days on 3mg but the manic episodes are still occurring. I couldnt reach the doc today. Can I quit cold turkey?! Shes just on 3 mg. Is it a problem if dose was reduced 2 days ago?
Im beyond exhausted emotionally n physically from dealing with her outbursts

Ok so I decided to reduce from 3mg to 1.5mg
She went from 5mg to 3mg two days ago. I hope at this low dose its not considered too fast of a tapering.
Anyone familiar with stopping or reducing doses? I hope I did the right thing. Mania is frightening! I couldnt any longer
