What activities are you planning to make this Lag B'omer enjoyable, meaningful, and memorable?
So many of you are so creative and come up with beautiful ideas for your family. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts and ideas!

The schools have special virtual programs for my kids. We're planning on making s'mores for dessert to have that bonfire experience even if we can only use the stove.

No bon fires are allowed in israel and neither are gathering.
We are going to barbeque for dinner and then my daughter has a bnei akiva activity on zoom.

Cute idea. S'mores are welcome any time!

It must be so difficult for those of you living in Eretz Yisroel Sad
You sound like you are doing your best to make the best of it. Kol Hakavod.

She probably meant bc Lag B'Omer is really a chag in E"Y, unlike in NJ-so it's probably much harder to just have it be a regular day. I know for myself living in chu"l, L"B is usually just a regular day but the year I was in EY it was special!

That's true, but one can't compare the overall atmosphere in Eretz Yisroel on Lag B'omer to the atmosphere in NJ. In Eretz Yisroel, you feel the day whether you are in Meron or not.

Thats for sure. I live very high up and can see bon fires in a neiboring area, miles away, all night.
The air us full of smoke smell. Windows are usually closed by mid day today for the bon fires. Kids dont have school tomorrow as they usually stay awake very late at bon fires.
The holiday is indeed in the air, physically and in so many other ways Smile

Light a bit of cotton fabric in an empty metal can next to the barbecue so you have yourself a nice little cozy medurah.
