Does anyone have any experience treating pandas, specifically tics, with low dose naltrexone?
Any other ways to reduce the intensity of pandas-related tics?

Do tics make the body feel high? I'd love to understand.
I googled and found that LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone) is in a class of drug known as an opiate antagonists. Its normal use is in treating addiction to opiate drugs such as heroin or morphine.

At low doses it’s used off label as an immune modulator for various autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. You can read up more here https://www.amazon.com/LDN-Boo.....r=8-1

If you join a pandas support grp on fb you can hear from ppl who have personally tried this with their child. As with everything else pandas, the results will be different for each individual

My DC's doctor wants to prescribe it. I'm just looking for feedback before I agree. I bought the LDN book and plan to read it.
I'm not on FB.

I'm not on FB. | I don’t have personal experience but I would jump at it if I had a provider willing to prescribe. Overall, people see good results. It works by modulating the immune system so that it’s not over reactive to strep and in general.
NAC is a supplement, it’s a precursor to glutathione which is a major antioxidant with a lot of activity in the brain. People use it in pandas to combat ocd, anxiety, tics and body focused repetitive behaviors.
