I had concerns about DD's vision in the winter...made an appointment to get it checked out in March... March was cancelled... our optometrist is still closed for non-emergencies but it's starting to feel insane to me that a child should be seeing poorly for half a year instead of getting glasses because she's not an "emergency." I mean BH she's not an emergency but please tell me there are people doing checkups SOMEWHERE?!
Must be in NYC area and accept basic insurance plans.

Try Dr. Masha Friedman Lewin! She is local, has great hours , and most importantly is good and honest. I took my kids there for an exam and im very happy.her business is called onetwoieyecare.

I got an email from dr. Steele’s office in the beginning of may that they are open. Very kid friendly doctors. I just use each time whoever is available and was happy with all of them.
Their number is I think 435-2020 or 438-2020 (the other is bikur cholim)
