Not yet. Going to the dr this week . He spits up continously. Seems miserable after eating, occassionally during eating. Crys often seeming in pain. Occassionally arches his back while eating

Does this sound like it?

Zantac is not recommended because it causes cancer
I just started giving my ds a medication called famotidine (Pepcid). So far I see an improvement. He’s not spitting up as much.

Just PSA that it has been recalled (eventhough I believe the issue was not in the liquid version). My doctor prescribed Pepcid instead. For my baby it makes a big difference. I can tell if my husband forgot a dose cuz she will refuse to drink. She’s still on it at 11 months.

He is almost 2 months kh. Exclusively nursing. He eats around every 3 hours, from just 1 side. He is gaining weight nicely bh. But seems so uncomfortable and cries often and his cry seems like he is in pain.
Side note, did your reflux baby cry less because he was in pain? Or same as other kids

Did you try getting off any foods yet?
Is he burping often enough?
My baby took prevacid, it helped but it's not recommended for long term.
You can also try giving him mylicon before every feeding, it helps wonders.

Any other symptoms besides what you mentioned? Normal diapers, no rashes?

I'd go to a GI before giving any meds. My ped. prescribed Prevacid for my baby, over a year later I finally went to a GI. I was told it's not recommended to give medication before testing if the baby has reflux or not. The risks outweigh the benefits.

Turns out he diagnosed him with IBS, which is basically a sensitive stomach....

sounds like reflux. go to a dr. its worth trying meds to see if it helps. you can also try not eating dairy (and/or wheat). even a 2 week trial is very telling.
you can pm me if you have more questions
