My toddler turns a gazillion times in her sleep and her hair gets so messy! It’s so hard to untangle every day. I tried putting it up in a bun but doesn’t help. What style will tangle least?
I don’t know if it’s just the type of hair or because the turning & sweating in sleep. Hair is extremely thin (due to medication)

Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Can you braid it before she goes to bed? Two braids are often more comfortable than one, and should not disturb her while sleeping.

Are you using conditioner on her hair? I started using conditioner on dd's hair when I wash it and I really notice the difference.

I have long fine hair. And I'm a toaster in my sleep. I braid it and in the morning take it down. No knots.

What others said.
Condition and braid.
Hair texture is a good indication if a body is missing vitamins / minerals.
Dry knotty hair usually means your body is missing hydration and healthy fat.

Can you feed her more healthy fats?
When my sisters changed her daughters diet (that is only if the kid cooperates) her hair texture improved dramatically.
This was after cutting it Short and conditioning didn't help.
