Why don't you call stores for recommendations and quotes and also appliance repairmen?
MS Appliances does not charge tax for out of state orders and delivers to Brooklyn. I believe they're located in Paterson, NJ.
That's where I purchased mine.

I found Yale Appliance's website to be the most informative. They service all appliances they sell, so they have good data on reliability. https://blog.yaleappliance.com.....shers

I have a Bosch (entry-level) I'm pretty happy with, but it's an older model so I can't vouch for any others.

But the detergent you use makes a HUGE HUGE difference. Some detergents my dishwasher did a terrible job, but with the Finish Quantum Max I got amazing results, plus knowing how to use your dishwasher (scrape not rinse).

We have a kenmore which I didn’t think was a great brand (and in fact, our fridge from the same line isn’t my favorite), but my oh my the dishwasher is spectacular. I’ve never had anything clean like it.

I have a kitchen aid. very happy so far but I only have for like 6 months.
the appliance tech that installed it told me he just bought it for his wife.

the only thing is that the express wash does not dry the dishes very much. and I find the rinse aid I put is used up SOO quickly.

The store recommended a kitchenaid for best value for money. Stay away from plastic insides

Only because others here have said they do recommend KitchenAid, can you share what you don't like about it?

Whichever you get, make sure the interior is stainless.

KitchenAid is awesome.

I was told by the salesman in Home Depot all the models work the same, they just up the bells and whistles to charge you more.

Thank you for all your replies.
I ended up buying a Bosch dishwasher.
I need a recommendation in Brooklyn for someone who is very skilled, as well as honest and reliable and can install it for me where there was no dishwasher before (just cabinets).
I am hoping to install ASAP (already have it at home clogging my apartment).
From what I researched some knowledge in both plumbing and electrical work is needed for a job like this.
Please feel free to post or PM.

Why not a plastic interior? Stainless insides seem much more expensive?
