Does anyone have a recipe for a big minute roast? Never made it before but was on sale at the grocery.

great recipe so soft!
saute lots of onions and layer half on bottom of pan, place the roast on top in pan, and cover the roast with the rest of the onions.
bake at 225 for 6 hrs.
eta - choose a pan that will pack the meat tightly (vs an oversized pan) and cover well before baking.

Thanks! There’s no spices at all, just onions?

I would definitely put spice, ie. garlic powder, black pepper, smoked paprika...

Mishapcha once gave out a booklet on roast recipes. The following one I always make for yomtov.
Wash and pat dry roast
Cover roast with onion soup mix and place in 9x13 deep pan
1 onion sliced
A few garlic cloves sliced (I usually use 3)
1/3 cup tomato sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup wine
1TBS vinegar (or lemon juice)
Mix together and pour over roast.
Cover well and bake at 250 for at least 10 hours.
I always make it in advance. Once cooled I wrap the whole pan well and freeze until I need it. I slice it while cold and rewarm.
Ends up being soft and delicious

This recipe does not call for any spices. Ive had it a few times, so good and soft.
Im also thinking if you are using a small sized roast then might want to cut down on cooking time.

This looks really good! Thanks for posting! What size roast is it for? And what kind of wine?
