I love reader's digest, and I'm often impressed at how they have the submitted section of telling your story in 100 words or less, so I decided to try it, and I'm inviting you to try it also.

rules: (1) write a story in 100 words or less. TIP: use a website like wordcounter.net to help keep track (2) post your story.

PLEASE DON'T BASH WHAT SOMEONE DID OR DIDN'T DO IN THEIR STORY. THIS IS MEANT TO BE A SHARED PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, AND YOU FOR SURE CAN'T CHANGE WHAT HAPPENED. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, TAKE IT INTO A SPIN-OFF!

Finally after years, I was meeting my best friend. A whole week. But there was one problem. I keep the Jewish Shabbat, she doesn't. I had to do everything, planning, shopping, cooking. I needed to run the Shabbat table. Where to start? A book "Friday Night and Beyond: The Shabbat Experience Step by Step" We light the candles, sing Shalom Aleichem and Eishet Chayil. It came time to bless the children. Would mom like to bless my friend? Yes, like a Fiddler on the Roof. Repeat the Hebrew words after me. And I am blessing my friend who blessed me.

1- can we use contractions?
2- can we write 2 stories where the second story is the sequel?

Sure. I just realized I used and contractions. And as long as the first story has a resolution and can stand on its own. The trick with this writing exercise is to really try and condense your words.
