Cuomo mentuoned that he will give an answer about daycamps at the end of may. He still hasn't said anything about it and the reporters didn't ask him. Is there a way one can relay the question to him? Gov Murphy said that he will open daycamps.

The world is on fire who knows or cares about day camps at the moment? I doubt he will have an answer soon

I care! I love my kids dearly but every day is a sacrifice.
He still discusses numbers in his briefings. another reason to push it off.

I can't imagine my kids being home all summer. I wish they would give us an answer.

I hear that Yes. Something about going into phase II on Wednesday and private schools being in the same category as daycare.

Yes but not regularly. Fewer hours, no transportation

I guess we take what we get. Anything is a bonus these days.

I live in Monsey. My son's school did not open yet. They sent an email out last night, that although schools are not allowed to open legally they are legally allowed to have daycare for school age children. So they are trying to legally I guess make the school into a daycare for now. They will have much fewer hours, I believe 3 hours a day no transportation and no lunch. That's what I heard.

My DD's school is doing this, starting Wednesday. But I don't see the benefit. Without transportation, traffic will be crazy, and by the time you get back from dropping off your kids, you can almost head right back out. This only adds a burden, instead of alleviating a burden.

And besides, I work, as does DH. So I don't see how I can even do this at all.

Because they're not getting funding for it as long as the district is closed. Little kids are going full hours but older kids, who are needed to aid in drop-offs and pickups, will be having fewer school hours.

But daycare age kids (under 5) will have full hours?
