Well, I have read through this whole thread and I can't believe no one mentioned one of my favorite recipes from S & S: yogurt pancakes. I make the variation with flavored yogurt, instead of plain, and it's definitely a favorite around here!

My absolute favorite is the sweet and sour meatballs (I've lost track of how many votes for that.) I had those at one of my sheva brachot, and I never liked meatballs until then. It's my go-to recipe!

Yum!

I tried the chiffon marble cake. I made it for last shabbat and the one before it. This past time I forget to check the readiness. I fyou do make it remember to check if it is done. I think it should say bake time 1 hour and twenty minutes!!

Beer batter meatball???? I have to check that out!! As well as the sweet and sour meatballs!

I tried the sweet and sour meat balls for shabbat today. They are truely a keeper. I have had this book for over ten years and never tried it. I have been making sweet and sour meatballs from second helpings. It is with Ketchup and gingerale. If you want the recipe I will post it under meats. The sauce is thin compared to the one in this book.

What a great thread, I really do not remember commenting on here.

I highly recommend the Classic Challah.
