As an aside, Aldi's does a pretty decent job with their GF products. Their wraps in particular are pretty decent and have even won a GF award. Like someone said above, the GF breads are usually better hot, panini-style or toasted.

As with any substitute (GF, meat, dairy, etc) it's not going to be good if you are wanting it to be exactly like "the real thing." If you take it as it is and eat it for what it is, it will taste much better. It's a shift in perspective but will make substitutes much better!

Today has been day 1 of gluten free so far...

Breakfast was a cup of ice water with a yogurt
Snack- an apple
Lunch- (brown) rice cakes with a piece of cheese
Gluten free cereal with a little milk

Her stomach is hurting a lot today. She woke up in pain and was willing to start her gluten free diet. I told her it will take a couple of weeks until her body gets rid of all the gluten from the past.
She definitely has a dairy sensitivity but is not willing to go dairy free now. She is using lactaid pills to help with that.

Soon I will do a gluten free grocery shopping for her. She likes fruits and vegetables but does not like chicken or meat so this will be a bit difficult for us to figure out.

If anyone else has any specific products they recommend it’s much appreciated.

Thank you to all who have advised!

A teenage girl needs alot more than that. She also needs nutritious foods.
How about eggs and avacdos and veggies for breakfast?
And vegetable soup with some protein that she does like for dinner?
Perhaps make homemade granola she can have with her yogurt for lunch?
