What do you make for dinners for a big family?
I'm totally running out of ideas. And my kids are getting big overnight BH and eating lots more so I need yummy, filling, healthy dinner ideas for all nights of the week. I would really appreciate your help!
Last night was spaghetti- that's how desperate it is.
Big hits are tacos and noodles and meat sauce.
Chicken and rice and a vegetable like string beans.
Any others??

THANK YOU ALL!!

Something we did was pick a protein type for each day of the week so we had more of a structure.
Sunday: chicken legs
Monday: leftovers (or pick something else If you don’t do leftovers)
Tuesday: meat (ground beef or stew)
Wednesday: cutlets
Thursday: dairy

Then I had something to start with to find recipes and I only need 3-4 options in each category to serve each meal only once a month.

Still a young family but I can try to brain storm...
You can always roast a veggie in the oven. Frozen broccoli, string beans, zucchini, roasted veg like peppers etc. or for your veg you can make some sort of soup once or twice a week and freeze...
Protein and carb combos- chicken and rice in one pan in the oven. Yum. Schnitzel and mashed potatoes. Burgers and fries. Meatballs and spaghetti. Grilled chicken and orzo or couscous. Chicken stir fry (put pieces of chicken cutlet with veg you family likes and either fry it in oil, water, or soy sauce) with rice.
Any chicken on the bone with a yum sauce and a carb. Fish if you want (tilapia, salmon) with mashed potatoes or brown rice etc
Pita with pieces of grilled chicken and lettuce/salad/ with fries on the side if you want.
Shepherd’s pie- take a dish or pan and put chopped meat (you can add some little pieces of veg like carrot etc if you want) with mashed potatoes on top

Not sure if this is what you were looking for but hope it helps somewhat!

Pita and falafel are always a big hit, especially if you want to do something vegan for a change. Serve with fried/baked eggplant, Israeli salad, and techina.

A big hit for my family is chicken soup on any day besides Thursday. They love chickens soup on middle of the week. I let them have doubles and triples, they must have the protein too. They're never hungry after that. Some of them even take the vegatables like celery or carrots.

We love chicken soup too, but I feel like I would need other items for it to be filling enough for everyone.

Dairy:
Make roasted potatoes in a pan, and a few minutes before it’s finished, pour raw egg on top.
Ziti/lasagna
Dairy onion soup with garlic bread... not sure what protein

I got the best idea from an Ima here! Did it for shavuos but it’s so easy you can do it any day: cook big pasta shells. Mix shredded cheese and cottage cheese, put the shells in a pan and stuff them with the filling, and pour sauce on top. Bake covered ... big hit

I like build your own options for large families because of so many different taste buds.
Build your own chicken wraps-broil chicken cutlets Mixed with Montreal steak seasoning for a few minutes, give wraps, an assortment of fillings that your family likes and a dipping sauce or 2.
Shwarma-also build your own. Just stir fry cutlets with onions and shwarma spice. Serve with pita, tehina, hummus, cabbage slaw, israeli salad, whatever your family likes.
Chicken lomein-assortment of veggies in it so everyone likes something
Chicken on the bone over rice in the oven
Grilled chicken cutlets with green beans, rice, fries, broccoli-whatever your family likes.
Chicken salads-again can be build your own
Crockpot chicken and potatoes over rice
Pulled chicken/beef tacos, also can be build your own.
Deli sandwhiches
Dairy-baked ziti, stuffed shells, eggplant, build your own pizza, French onion soup with bread (cheese in the soup)
