Smells like sour milk. (Or something spoiled)
Cleaned out whole thing. Took off shelves and cleaned with baking soda, vinegar, dried and put all back.
Left open bowls of baking soda in fridge
The fridge is completely empty now and
STILL STINKS!!
Please advise.... never had anything like this before.

There might be a dead rat or other animal stuck in the bottom. Sorry for grossing you out

Maybe milk spilled underneath the fridge. Try moving out the fridge to clean the floor.

If even after cleaning, the smell persists, then it may be time to make that dreaded service call. The bad smell could be coming from the drip pan underneath the fridge. Sometimes a damaged or used up water filter can emit odors. It could even be a buildup inside the fridge's drainage system.
