Deblasio called in sick today and cancelled all events. We know that his daughter was arrested at the protests/riots and could have exposed him or he could have been exposed at any of the protests he attended in person. His press secretary claims that its not coronavirus related but could it be that he has coronavirus? What would that mean for NY?

The only thing is, is that everything that he says is a lie, so it is hard to believe that he is telling the truth about being sick.

Boris Johnson was out of commission for a while and England kept calm and carried on. NYC can too if necessary.

Boris Johnson had coronavirus.
But DiBlasio is hardly in Johnson's position. I doubt most of us would notice if DiBlasio was out for a few weeks.

My point is (I edited for formatting) that heads of state can be out of commission and things continue as they were.

Oh, we would definitely notice. There would be much less damage done to our wonderful city. Sometimes an incompetent elected official doing nothing is indeed wonderful

Yes. He should be tested absolutely. If he has any medical care then he should be tested.

Unless he gives over power and decision-making to his wife...

He is telling his contact tracers not to ask if they went to the protests so I guess he is refusing to be tested because he is afraid that he got it at a protest and that would force everyone else into quarantine. So he continues with his non-sensical double standards that he is best known for. How do you think he can be forced to take the test?

Careful what you wish for. Next in line for mayor if something happens to him is the public advocate. And he is an outright anti Semite.

Well it's either take the test or be presumed positive. Isn't that what is planned to be done to civilians?
