If you are talking about getting vaccinations at school in Israel, you can just write a note saying that you don't authorize it. Usually the form comes home with your child. When we made aliyah, one of my kids had already gotten the shots that were being given, so we did that. She didn't have to miss school.

We gave the shot in TC the summer before, so I didn't fill out the form or send in the pinkas.
We sent to school that day. Nothing happened.
Everyone else got the shot and my kid didn't, and no one said a word.
I really don't see why you would avoid sending to school that day. I know there are lots of conspiracy theorists but no one gives a shot without the child's pinkas and they won't even put fluoride paste on your child's teeth if you don't sign the paper, much less administer an immunization.

I didn't even bother writing that I don't authorize. I simply didn't send back the form. That was enough.

Is it the OPV? No? So then it's not shedding.
And if you are worried about your precious one being "shedded" on, I hope you keep your precious ones home every time they have a slight fever, so that they don't kill anyone else's loved ones.

You're in essence relying on those other kids being vaccinated so that the disease remains at bay and your child does not get sick. And now you're kvetching that those other kids, who are taking the shot for your kid, are shedding? I never post on these threads, but...

It's the epitome of selfishness.
I'm waiting for them to make the infant-toddler vaccinations mandatory.

Why are you assuming to know the reason that the child is not being vaccinated? And who's kvetching?

Would you say the same thing if you knew ops child had a previous reaction to a vaccine, or has a sibling with neurological damage due to a vaccine, or is immunocompromized, or is deathly allergic to eggs? Why can't you just not post anything if you don't know the specific answer to the question.

You're right, I got a little worked up, and there could be good reasons your child can't take a vaccine, or he/she might have siblings that had a bad reaction, I get it.
My feelings were, if you're so scared of the illness, even sheddings, then give the shot. If the child can't take the shot, maybe don't send to school? I understand it's not so simple and your child deserves a chance to go to school too.
I apologize. For real.
