A homeware item (or other gift- with or without gift receipt?)
OR a gift card so that you can choose what you like?

Gift card or even cash, bc then I have to actuslly get to the store. And for cash even $15 is fine (im assuming you're not giving a gift card for less unless its a $5 Starbucks one, ie something that makes sense)

While gift cards are nice and very useful, the most memorable ones that made me feel appreciated were 1) gifts that were geared to me personally, showing that the kid had told the mom about something I liked or had mentioned 2) cute "kits" put together in a Pinterest type of way, showing time and effort 3) things that I could use in the classroom but aren't specifically provided by the school, like very nice markers etc.
One of my all time favorite gifts, was a personalized water tumbler filled with chocolates and skinny sharpie markers.

A gift card - preferably one that isn't limited to a specific store OR something that was clearly made by the child which was a true gift from the heart - and that could be something simple like a home made card with a drawing y the child.
Please no tchotchkes or items for personal use etc.
