I am in the middle of taking care of some medical things, for myself, and it have been unemployed and looking for a job at the same time.
These medical things are going to take, all together, probably 6 - 9 months. I can not work (surgeries are included in this time). Would I add that in to my resume or just tell people at an interview or do you think putting down about medical things is not something to put onto a resume as it would scare someone off?

WWYD?

if its future, don't write it at all, mention it at the end of an interview
if its past only a few mos. fudge it
if its longer than write some vague sentance "personal break" not medical

Im not sure what you mean by if its future or past. Im saying this is happening right now. Im going through some medical things that will be taking months. So most probably at the end of all this I will be job searching and it will be in the immediate past as in a month or two before job interviews.

So why would you possibly put it in the resume?

To explain the gap in her employment. I would only mention it if asked. I would respond thanks for asking. I actually had a medical issue and needed surgery and a small recovery time. Thankfully the issue is fully resolved.
The good news is my guess is they will assume the break is Covid related. So many people not working now. Hatzlacha.

If there is a gap in my employment with no explanation, is it better to have that gap and hope companies will still want me for employment or put an explanation in my resume as to why there was a gap and hope that will make companies want to get me in for an interview?
