There's some fancy term for what you do daily to maintain the organizing that you did.
I would call it cleaning up but they call it something different.

Nah, it's something else like normalizing.... some funny invented term when what they mean is you need to clean up every day & put things where they belong.

Maybe it was equalizing?
And my next question would be, why? (as in why invent this term?) Cause it sounds better than 'putting things away where they belong' or 'cleaning up'?

Because professional organizer Julie Morgenstern has made a mint selling organizing books and the acronyms makes it easier to remember her methods.
The SPACE acronym comes from her book Organizing from the Inside Out and stands for:
Sort
Purge
Assign
Containerize
Equalize
She has another book called SHED Your Stuff, Change Your Life — that one is about throwing out stuff and organizing your life but the initials are
Separate the treasures
Heave the trash
Embrace Your Identity
Drive Yourself Forward

They call it Equalize cause CLEAN UP doesn't fit into an acronym. Got it.
It was just irking me that I couldn't remember the term...
