What can I get dh, he's starting a new job/got promoted.
Was waiting since before corona. Bh the day arrived.
What can make/get him?
Were still on a tight budget bh (vs an impossible one).
My mind is blank.

I would set the table as nicely as I can, try to have hot dinner waiting that takes more effort than usual dinners, and possibly a dessert.
If applicable, young kids fed, bathed and in pjs, ready for bed before he comes home.

Is there anything he can use in his new job?
Like if it is a desk job. Maybe a cushy mousepad? Or a wrist rest for keyboard those are usually less than 20. Etc.

What does he do? Get something that “matches”.
E.g. dh is a lawyer, so I got him a personalized leather portfolio.
My bff’s dh is a dentist, she got him something personalized that’s dentist related (can’t remember what) and made a batch of tooth cookies with a tooth cookie cutter she found

He works long hours. Kids are already asleep when he comes home.....
I will make a fancier dinner. Or or really any dinner thats ready when he walks in is fancy.... lol. Kids started camp today so I'll be able to cook. Yay!
Last promotion I got him a desk organizer with a picture of the kids.
Recently took a really nice picture of the kids maybe I'll do something with that.
He went from an operational/management position to a more creative management position.

Real dishes, candles and you wear makeup and heels! If not applicable now, write him a iou note that he can cash it in another time

When my dh got his 1st good job in his field, after day 1 I set the table well and made a serious steak dinner with all the trimmings and dessert. I told him I appreciate his hard work and thanked him for supporting our family so I didn't have to.
