Do you properly set with cutlery...?
I don't. I just stick the cutlery into the plate as I serve.

I voted "no, I don't". I would like to, but practically it doesn't work out

I do but I don't really care either way. Our son likes it when the table is set and it's the only meal during the week we all eat together so it's not a big deal for me to set the table. More often than not our son ends up setting it so it's just me passing the dishes and cutlery to him and he puts everything on the table.

I voted I do, but I don't do it every single day.
Maybe about half the nights.
It's just me and my husband and sometimes our daughter, if it was more people I don't know if I'd bother.
Hubby doesn't care either way.
ETA: It's not about the 2 minutes it takes to set the table, it's about the extra things to wash (tablecloth or place mats, serving dishes, dish for cut veggies) vs if everyone serves themselves it's just one plate per person and the cutlery they want to use.

Not usually. But I save that for Shabbos.

I just started again about 6 months ago I probably did it the first 4 yrs we were married or so). Have 4 kids and I was starting to get so frustrated with every night having to get up 25 times to go get something for someone. Now I set the whole table, a proper setting at every seat, and if someone wants something extra (another plate, spoon...) they need to get it themself.
Makes it so much easier for me!

Every single meal always. And had no idea until now that it was unusual.

What does it count as if my husband throws the disposables on the table as proper place settings?

Yes, we set the table properly for dinner, but I only make a real dinner 3 times a week (mon tues wed).
Sunday night I dish out leftovers, and for some reason it doesnt feel like proper dinner lol so we dont set it before.
Thursday nights im cooking for Shabbos so its make your own supper night (sandwich maker type of thing)
But the other nights we have normal sit down family dinners, so we set the table

Not shana rishona and no kids yet - normally we cook dinner together and then when it's ready, we each grab a plate/cutlery and serve ourselves and bring it to the table. If it's something where the food will be served on the table, one of us will grab two plates and cutlery and "set it" if you can call it that - just like, plate in the middle, fork on one side, spoon on the other, here's a cup for you, let's eat. It's pretty informal either way. I set it more nicely on shabbat though.

I do. I love the look and feel of a nicely set table. Setting it (for me) is the quick part. Clean up takes longer. But I still do it

Usually Placemats for easier dinners and tablecloth for more messy but no cutlery. As I serve I stick it into the plate

Yup. That’s how I grew up and my DH did too. It’s so much nicer and it makes sitting down together more elevated. Yes, I even set the table when my kids were small.
