And why?

I cook mine in a pot but I'm thinking of getting a slow cooker because people tell me how much easier/quicker it is.

Slow cooker. It doesn't burn or stick to the bottom that way.

My slow cooker is actually a multi-cooker, so I also use it pretty regularly as a rice cooker, steamer, grill etc.

Slow cooker. Just layer the ingredients, plug in, set to low, and leave it to cook over shabbos.

Crock pot in a disposable liner. Easier cleanup.

I used to cook it in a pot all the time, because I like to saute the onions first and I liked the taste of my chulent in a pot more.
After coming home one Friday too many to the smell of burnt chulent, I started doing it in a croc pot and we got used to that. Once I stopped going into work on Friday I gradually moved back to making it in a pot but I'll still occasionally do it in the croc pot.
The croc pot is heavier to wash though.

In the winter in a pot on the blech and in the summer in a slow cooker. We like the blech in the winter to add warmth to the house and the slow cooker is set on a timer and goes off after the seuda on Shabbos , so it doesn’t get too hot in my kitchen in the summer.
