I remember reading a frum novel a while back and would love to read it again but have no idea what it's called. I think it was told from the perspective of an oldest or older daughter in a family that had at least one child with a genetic disorder, part of which was having either an extra finger or missing a finger. Anyone have any idea what this book is?

Thank you! So happy I finally posted, my memories were so vague I wasn't even sure I was remembering correctly just knew I liked it. Now to hope the library reopens.

Its hashgacha that I even opened this thread. I'm not a big frum novel reader and I dont open these threads 99.9 percent of the time

Is it a true story or did you mean you're related to the author.

It is true and I'm related to the author and family. Names were changed. And perhaps a few minor details.
