My DS is 6 and still sucks his thumb a lot. I really want him to stop especially if we're going to be going back to school with covid still around. Any ideas?

You can try putting a bandaid on his thumb. It will make him more aware and he won't want to put it in his mouth.

I applied a very bad tasting nail polish on the thumbnail. It was made for this reason. It’s non toxic but horrible tasting. Worked so well for dd6. Wish I can help you with the name of the brand but don’t have it anymore. Maybe try searching for such a thing online. Bandaid is a good idea too but the kids who are so addicted to thumb sucking would just pull it off.
