For you ladies who have completed a doctoral program, what advice did you get that helped you greatly? What things did you have to learn by yourself along the way? What advice would you give?
I know some of the answers may be program dependent, but maybe there’s something in general you’d offer? I never got this far in my education, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It varies so much on the field. I think, you will elicit better advice if you are a bit more specific.

I know a homeschool mom whom did her doctorate in education while raising her 6 kids. She says being organized is very important. Otherwise, she thinks it was easy - she got paid to work from home and write about everything she loved.

Here's the best advice I got - "You don't sit down to write a dissertation. You write ten pages today, and ten pages tomorrow, and ten pages the day after that."
