Please everyone pls pls
Make sure you get paid for the $0 waiting period. Its waived because of covid 19.
If you see you were not paid the first week, send an email in your secure messages folder requesting you get paid for that week. Tell them that's supposed to be waived because of covid 19. In 8 days you'll get an email to fill out a form amd they might even give you more backdated weeks of unemployment money (like in my situation).
Pls tell people about this. Most people I talk to have no idea they can get paid for this waiting period.

I'm in ny. I think it applies to all states.
Anyone who applies for unemployment always has the first week $0 pay. So whatever your first $0 pay week is, it will apply for that week (and prior in some cases). Dept of labor will tell you in the email link how many weeks you will get backdated.
