I made 2 containers today for when we go away. One with veg (tiny cut up) and one plain. Cooked in foil containers in oven. My sil sounded a bit surprised when I told her bc she said she's never frozen rice before. I definitely have but don't remember it being a problem.

Yes but I find reheating in oven once taking out of freezer is way better than microwaving. I find that wild rice freezes better than regular but have done both.
