whats interesting for adults to see and do in this park and the nearby area?
where would we go to see and experience the best of it?

It’s not that big. You look at the dam and the waterfall , and then you can ‘hike’ up and view it from Up top.

Risky? How so? It’s short and steep but if you don’t want to or can’t do it just view the dam from the bottom

Nah we do it with kids. You can check out Croton Point Park - beautiful place with beach iirc, at ossining there's a commuter ferry to havestraw which is nice but check the timings of when it runs. You can walk or bike the Mario Cuomo Bridge where a new bike path just opened.

I was there today. It was a great trip. We picniced while watching the waterfall and walked the trail, but we never figured out how people get to the top of the waterfall. We saw stairs with a lock, but we saw people at the very top.
Is that a difficult trail?
