Front loaders may stain white clothing. Nothing takes it out in my experience. Afew things have been ruined beyond wear already.

Something is wrong with the machine. Do you keep the door open when not in use so mold isn't growing? Do you do an empty deep clean machine clean cycle every 2 months so there's no buildup of residue?

What sort of detergent do you use? How much per load?

P.S. Do you have kids playing with bubbles in the summer?

I have the same problem! Tried bleaching the stains didn't help.

Ramom what does bubbles have to do with it?

Store bought bubbles make horrible grey stains that don't come out.

Powder detergent also seems to be an issue sometimes in front loaders.

I think I caused this by pouring liquid detergent directly on clothing in the machine instead of diluting it

Bubbles bubbles bubbles! Had the same thing! Haven't done bubbles in a while and not even 1 pc of clothing had stains! I asked this here not too long ago and was told, when using bubbles, rinse all clothing that might've come in contact with bubbles, without detergent, before washing regular in machine.
For the stained clothing, so far haven't found a working solution

Hmmm
Maybe try running an empty cycle with vinegar. Or maybe it's the rubber?!

the black marks are soap residual buildup inside inner tub. order clorox washer cleaner - this is manufacturer recommended. do a few loads of it to start with and start using once a month. Also make sure to only use 1-2 Tablespoons of "HE" (high efficiency) soap. This soap is very condensed and will cause the soap buildup if you use more than that.

it contains bleach, so after using the cleaner run an empty cycle b4 putting clothes in, just to make sure all the bleach is completely out of the machine

I second the bubbles....I rinse all clothes worn during bubbles without soap first and then wash. Not sure about your husband's underwear though Smile

I was never able to. Now I'm very careful that everyone's clothes go straight into the washer for a no-soap wash right after bubbles. It must be some kind of reaction between the bubbles and detergent. It's possible some companies of bubbles dont stain, but I'm not taking any chances.
