How do you wash sneakers in the machine without getting skid marks inside the machine? And how to dry them if my dryer doesn't have a rack?

I used to do this but I see it makes the shoe out of shape. I never found it making marks.
Air dry anywhere.

Make sure they're canvas. If they have fancy insoles, remove those and hand wash the insoles separately. Place sneakers into mesh bags. Add two old towels to the machine to balance the load. Wash.
Remove and air dry. Stuff some small towels inside sneakers to help keep their shape as they dry.

Maybe it's too gross but what about dishwasher? They might not get ruined if they aren't going to be spun??

I would, if only I had one
I'm lucky to have a washer/dryer in my apt.
