How do I go about finding a babysitter to come to my house pretty much full time? I am a first time mom living in Flatbush and I really just don’t know people. I’m at a loss.

Join your community Facebook and Whatsapp groups.
Tell them what type of person you are looking for, hours, and salary. I suggest getting an older woman who's kids are out of the house. There's less risk of Covid that way.
Make sure she wears a mask, and washes her hands really well the second she comes in the front door.
If she offers to do light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, etc. then it's worth it to pay her a bit more. It will still be less expensive than having a cleaning lady come in addition to a nanny. (Get DH to do the hard stuff like the toilets and the mopping. )
Ask for two local references, and then call to check.
Too bad you're not in Israel. I love babies!
