Do you have creative ideas foodwise either in shaping a food or ingreds., or other, that tie in with Purim for the Purim seudah?
e.g. Shanah Rishona Purim, instead of making a whole real fish for my in-law's MM, I took a pkg. of flaky dough, divided in half, cut out both flat halves in a shape of a (big) fish complete with fins and tail, filled with mashed potato, onions, and mushrooms, wedged both 1/2's together at edges. baked. cooled. scales - sliced black pitless olives cut in half. eye - half green pitless olive. mouth- a thicker cutout from dough shaped like a slightly open fish mouth. with knife, decorated tail and fins.
Placed on a bed of blue nylon (water) and sculpted veggies into flowers, reeds, on side of water.
My in-laws served it at the Purim seudah.

I don't need a long quiet time, but I do find that some days if esp. hectic, I need pockets of short quiet time - me alone, like 10 mins. - 3-4 times during the day. I feel refreshed like I "recharged my battery" and be"H ready for the next round of to-do's.

What do you do during your designated quiet time?

Are there food orgs. in America which take people's leftover nosh from MM, and distribute to the needy?
(that's what we do with leftovers and all the sweet nosh left over - we don't let our kids eat sweets, toffees... dentist costs too steep)

Cook for the seudah. Probably, tmrw when I cook for Shabbos iy"H I'll cook double some things, and use for Purim seudah. Seudas Purim here is on Sunday.
Also need to finish making MM. Probably do that Sunday morn. when MM starts coming in - will recycle. We do that every year. We're very financially strapped. We buy some things for MM and the rest use from what we receive (except for homemade/baked items - these I never give further. Don't know who made it. Which hechsher? If been recycled...
We eat homemade from others only if we know the person who made it, hechsher, and if I know that person is careful with cleanliness.
Otherwise we throw away. Not a mitzvah to make oneself feel nauseous.)

How long does it take you to tidy up/put away leftover nosh from MM/wash costumes & put away - in general - clean your home from Purim?
