My 11 yr old son comes home at 4:30 everyday and just wants to watch videos/sports games.
His friends are all away for the summer and the weather has been way too hot to be outside for more than 20 minutes to play basketball/ ride bike.
Any suggestions on how to keep him busy?
He is very active type, so wouldn't go for doing puzzles/building type toys.

He is so active can’t do puzzles or build but yet can sit and watch sports...
Could it be your underestimating him?

Would he like book binding. You could then pay him token amount for each book he binds in your home.

Outdoor building or painting project. Shed, fix up swingset.

Mow some lawns

Learn to type.

Do an excersize video (check out Eli Goodman)

Are there any pools in your area you can pay to swim with lifeguard.

I feel for you. It’s hard especially during the nine days. Are there any night camps in your area?

I didn't say he can't do puzzles, I said he wouldn't go for it... Huge difference lol.

Thanks for your suggestions, maybe we'll try the exercise idea...

I didn't know there was such a thing. Anyone know if there's anything in Flatbush?? This kid needs to be busy, or else he starts annoying all his siblings!

what about exercise equipment indoors-maybe a rowing machine or exercise bike. You could get a climbing ladder or swing. Something more physical and allowing for more expending of energy.
Also what about him getting out earlier or later in the day if it's cooler then?
