that’s not true you have a choice of three hotels and two different shuls you can walk to
Call rabbi yehuda itkin of ohev tzedek synagogue he can help you
The hotels are also less expensive than the ones in the poconos the yeshivaha co op might sell kosher food

There's no right or wrong. If you want to use points instead of $ and have a reliable minyan nearby, then Scranton is your best bet. I believe there's a Hilton, Four Points by Sheraton, and Radisson if you have those points.

Why do people keep saying to call Rabbi Itkin? He is a chabad Rabbi and Shochet. He is NOT a travel agent!
Of course the yeshiva co-op does sell kosher food. Its our kosher grocery!
Also depends on what and where in the poconos you plan to go and do. There's lots nearby. Bushkill and Camelback are 30-45 minutes away.

When you live in PA, a 30-40 minute drive is considered normal and not that big of a deal. And you rarely get stuck in traffic, even though the I-81 can be a mess sometimes. If you stay somewhere in the Poconos you will still have to drive depending on where you want to go because the different attractions aren't that close to each other. I think it makes total sense to stay near a Jewish community.

Hi, what's the yeshiva co-op/grocery address?
Thinking of doing a two day trip with kids. Thanks.

Depends which shul. Machzikeh hadas-call the rov first. You can pm me for his #.
Beth shalom-need a reservation, so call or email first. You can pm me for that info too.
Ohev zedek-no idea, but is likely to let anyone come.
