If you were being given a gift of $300 to spend for this Shabbos at home in order to make Shabbos as relaxing and enjoyable as possible for you, what would you spend in on?

Ideas are:

Take out food
Decor (flowers)
Reading material
Toys/games for the kids

Or any other categories. Kids are 8, 4, and 2. Be specific. No negativity. Go!!

Food first
Then whatever's leftover I'd hire a babysitter for the kids

Reading material . Can't get enough! But the truth is, I haven't had anything new to wear in forever and if I had an extra $300 would probably use part of if to treat myself to that.

For sure disposable dishes, and not to use a single pot or utensil that needs to be washed after. Basically, to be able to pick up the tablecloth and throw it all out.

I would for sure try to get a cleaning lady for Friday.
Flowers.
I prefer heimish food over store bought. But I would buy dessert.
I'd maybe even treat myself to a new robe.

Do you have to spend it all for this one weekend? And can it only be for Shabbas??

A new tichel. A new outfit. And I'd go to Barnes and Noble and buy books for everyone.

What is relaxing for you?
What are your stressors in life.

Mine have changed over the years so I am well aware that what works for one is not shayach for another.

Do you want new clothes and that makes you feel relaxed and special or is that an added stressed because now you need to go shopping?
Do you love flowers and they lift your mood or do they clutter, smell, and leave you with a vase to clean?
Take out food on paper goods. Is that a mechaya or do you hate it, feel like it is unhealthy and a waste and feel like you are killing the environment?
Cleaning help- is it a life-saver or something you hate because you don't want someone else in your home and now you have to straighten up for them and they still hide things in plastic bags in the back of the closet.

What makes you smile? What causes you anxiety? Go with those.

Childcare for Friday. Takeout for shabbos and all disposables. I like the idea of cleaning help but someone made a good point about having to tidy first for them. I think I'd rather have a babysitter for Friday so I could clean up and then rest.
