Oh I get it. It's so unfortunate that we need to feel that way. Was it one of the names recommended here? I'm looking for someone too. So afraid to start with someone new and invest the time/money/energy.

I don't know and it doesn't really matter. the way I see it is that a good psychologist will have training in many areas and the methods should work for anyone in distress. It's not like she didn't have enough schooling and just took specific courses to help only specific people.

A psychologist provides psychotherapy...
It just means they have more training then a social worker...
