I will be in monsey for a day this week. I would love some suggestions of where to spend my time. (It’s just me and dh) We plan on going to fireside for dinner. Would love suggestions where to go for breakfast and then where’s nice to spend the day. Would ideally love to do something outdoors but listening to indoor suggestions as well as it may rain Sad. Thank you ladies!

Croton Gorge park is about 40 minutes away. It’s an easy ‘hike’ that ends up at the top of a dam and it’s really beautiful.
We also like bear mountain zoo which is more like a combination hike and zoo since there’s a lot of hills to walk and it’s in a forest.

The great falls, it’s about twenty minutes away from monsey. When here was a lot of rainfall, there is more water.

It’s small it’s pretty, view from on top and bottom. There is designated parking both on top and bottom

this is by Peterson nj. Does it feel safe there? I thought it's a crowded city area. Is it pretty?

Looks like we’ll be rained out. I have a whole day to spend today in monsey. Anything indoors to do besides eat? Is there an open escape room around? Arcade place? Ceramic painting? Thank you!

I went to Paterson Falls after seeing pictures, expecting a beautiful hike. It's a big waterfall in the middle of a city. It didn't seem to be the best neighborhood. It was a strange experience.

Hobby House is for kids. Daycamps go during the day. Most indoor places are closed.

op asked for ceramic painting which Hobby House has. they also have more "challenging" art projects you can chose. I've been there countless times with my children and we and other adults are always doing the painting. it's relaxing and fun, IMO.

I went to hobby house as adult with my sibs and we had great fun doing ceramics that they put into the kiln for us after.they also have fun mosaic activities. Some bowling places might be open. Google bowling and ceramics and call them to see who is open.
