If you don't live in KJ you need an apt due to how it was funded. It is not public parkland or playground

Since when do you need an appointment? We go there all the time and never call before. There are hours that they're open to the public, no appointment needed.

We live in Monsey and go there all the time, and so do many other people from Monsey, without appointments.

What signs?? There's a rules and regulations sign. We as well as countless others have been going there for years. Never called before, never had any issues. I never heard of this appointment thing.

It may be there to have a fallback in case unwanted elements show up.
It usually opens at 3 and closes at sundown

You probably didn’t go during public hrs and the place was rented privately. OP if you hear the hours and go then you should be fine.

What time of the day did you go? They're open to the public from 3 and Sunday from 12. They rent it out privately in the morning/early afternoon.

FYI I went last sunday after 12 and it was locked. Nobody answered the phone. I would make sure it’s open before making a special trip.

We were the only people from kj actually.

The park is open every day from 3 pm till 8 pm for the public.
Once sundown is earlier closing time is earlier as well.

Thanks for all the replies, I went today after 12 and it was completely open to the public and my kids had a great time! It was full but not crazy packed.
We came from lakewood - was an awesome trip. We ate there in a pizza shop first a few blocks away, went to the park, bought cold drinks there and headed home.
