To give you a heads up we went speed boating in the mountains with a group of friends and if we took our masks off the breathe the driver stopped the boat.

And again. And again.

Not sure its worth it that way. I want to do something where I can be my own boss kind of.

I wonder where you all live and whether you came out of the cellar to see the sun.

Stop reading the news. Start going out.
Enjoy life.

I go out every day BH and therefore I know we are not in a post Covid world. Whether you choose to abide by the laws and guidelines or not, they are very much in effect and exist to protect you and your family. If we were in a post Covid world you would have been able to enjoy your boat ride without masks. But instead you suffered because you seem to be in denial (taking off your masks again and again)

Covid is not over but for now it’s pretty obvious that we achieved herd immunity. Whoever doesn’t see it needs to get their eyes checked.

Shepard lake is really nice. They make you bring or purchase your own life jackets. No mask requirement. You're outdoors.

Not the question. The question (as I understood it) is boating in a place where OP wouldn’t have to follow SD/mask rules. Perhaps if in your own boat/kayak on the Delaware (for example) but anywhere else the rules will be and should be enforced .

Why? I live in PA and we went boating today, yes they ask you to wear a mask while they are helping you get on the boat and while you pay, but once you get in the water, your free to take off your mask if you want.... there were plenty of ppl on the water and no one was wearing masks

I have no issues following the guidelines/laws

whooooops.....I meant 'in the world as we now know it - a covid/post covid world'

thanks

My question was

'are boat rentals operating as usual'

due to mush brain I didn't express myself correctly

the responsible fellas in this home show no signs of giving the poor mama more rest so you'll have to deal with me [incoherent language]

You're the best!

I wonder if a mask would be needed on the boat if it’s only family?

Can you give me more info on this? Last time I went they said they don't do boat rentals, only if you own a boat and dock on their lake.
