I work in an all women office. I rarely spk to my boss (mostly for tznius reasons- he keeps his distance and I just do my job). How do I ask for a raise, email or in person?

Is there a supervisor or office manager above you?
I would ask her to approach the boss on your behalf.

If you want something you’ve gotta ask for it yourself. Show you’ve got guts. Walk over and say what you want to say. You can email him to ask when a good time to talk is but asking for a raise via email would sound to me like you’re hiding behind your screen

Also makes it easier for them to say no imo and a very impersonal way of asking. You can email saying you'd like to schedule a time that's good to meet. Then go in and present your case.
