Has anyone tried this? You swallow a balloon that apparently inflates in your stomach so that you feel this type of fullness. There is no putting to sleep. It’s like a 1 hr appointment.

If I recall correctly it is only for a limited amount of time (maybe 90 days?) I think that they were trying it out at NYU. It kickstarts your weight loss but it still requires a lot of work on the dieters part.

DON'T DO IT! My parents did it both. My mom was extremely sick for 2 á 3 weeks. And both of them had such horrible terrible smell coming from their mouth I still remember it years later. You couldn't be in the same room as them for a while after, if they burped. And it happened a lot. Apparently food sticks to the balloon and gives a very bad smell.
Only after they had those horrible side effects did they read on Google that others said the same.
It was the worst thing they ever did. Let alone that they gained it all back

I suppose this is only a temporary solution that could help you along with the first steps. What's really hard is to keep the weight off in the long run, after 2 years or more.

As a general rule, being fit (exercising) is more important than not being overweight...

I just saw a report on the importance of psychological follow-up with massive weight loss...

Listen:

Before you attempt to medically alter the body that Hashem created perfectly for you there is another option to consider.

It is called BETR Health and Wellness.

It was covered completely by my health insurance.

You are assigned a health coach (phone) who works directly with you.
There is an app with clear instructions what you can and cannot eat.

There is a science behind this program- they will clean out your gut for four weeks and then slowly reintroduce foods to see if you have an intolerance to certain foods or a food sensitivity.

Now, I am a COMPULSIVE OVEREATER.
My first thought upon opening my eyes was usually a food, not my kids, not my husband, not my job.... FOOD... what would I eat? What could I eat? What's available in the kitchen?

Today I have ZERO food cravings.
My blood sugar was over 300 in June... Last night it was 117.
My blood pressure is NORMAL.

My doctor said at the rate I am going I will be off ALL meds by June 2021 (Moshiach should come first).

Was it easy?
No.
It required a lot of work at the very beginning but guess what?
I'm SLEEEEEEPING really well.
My first thought is NOT food related.

AND.. NO EXERCISE for the first month.

TRY IT!

I completely forgot to tell you:

They sent me a blue tooth scale FOR FREE

They sent me a FITBIT for FREE

Trust me, America does not want us obese- we cost our country to much money being fat.
They WANT us at a healthier body weight.

Call your insurance company I'm pretty sure it is covered.

BETR was written up in this months FORBES magazine as one of the best new companies!
Check out Forbes AUGUST 2020 issue.
