Is the US embassy open and have hours to the public where you live? It’s so frustrating here. One of my ds’s passport expired in July and was planning on going in April, but that obviously didn’t work out. I go on their website and all the days are blocked for making appointments, so I sent them a letter asking how I can go about getting a renewal. They said to constantly check the site for appointments. I checked one day last week and there was nothing and then I checked a few minutes ago and there were 3 days that are full. It’s like there’s one second, which I always seem to miss, that the day is open for appointments. So frustrating! Right now, he doesn’t have plans to go anywhere, but I want to do it.
