I read the book and liked it.

It wasn’t a book with a lot of s*ex scenes but if it is the book as I remember there were some plot lines that were adult. For example. I just finished a book about Miss Subway of 1949 and there was a subplot. Also a book about a Jewish family in Atlantic City in the 1930 which wouldn’t be for children but wasn’t what I think of as prurient.

Also does it have to be set in New York with Jewish families.

Did you read her second book-wartime sisters. I really enjoyed them both.
There's quite a lot of English authors who write about 1930s etc set in Liverpool etc. Not sure names of authors though

You probably would like The Chilbury Lady's Society by Jennifer Ryan. You might also like books by Karen White.

Try The Dinner Party by Brenda Janowitz. It came up recommended to me on goodreads after I read The Two Family House. It was cute.

Based on her criteria, I'd nix naomi ragen and taylor jenkins reid.
Rhys Bowen is good. She has a series set in NY early 1900s. No Jewish characters though.
Truthfully most Jewish family sagas written for secular audiences do have a lot of s*x. Weird but true.

It doesn't really exist, if you want Jewish ones.

There is a difference between stories in which people do adult things and those in which there is description in detail of what is happening.

I have no interest in reading explicit descriptions but I also can’t imagine limiting myself to books in which plot lines are completely devoid of any kind of normal stuff that occurs.
