I used to shop in children’s place/gap, etc but these stores don’t sell dresses that are long enough to cover my girls knees. My older daughter is 6.5, tall and skinny and frowns out of her dresses within a few months. I pass down to her sisters , 5 and 2 bH so I don’t feel bad buying for short time for her to wear . Where do you shop and find dresses , thinking maxi dresses might be best for her, but want ankle length too for the winter time .
Please post links and stores where you have shopped in, without spending too much. I’m used to spending no more than 30$ on a dress per kid. Great if it doesn’t need a shell under.

Won’t maxi dresses get in the way when she’s playing? My almost 6 year old runs, jumps, climbs in playground: maxi dresses wouldn’t be safe for my girl IMO.
We don’t hold that my girl has to cover her knee but we like it on her knee: she wears Gap size small, h&m runs long so that’s great,

I'm not sure where you live, but where I am Kidichic and designer spot are the two cheaper stores.

Agree kidi chic has a great online store. But the dress lengths can be short. Pay attention to dress lengths in descriptions. You can get dresses for under $40.
Designer spot where I live is called sage. Also well priced.
Lands end sometimes has nice dresses. But they need shells or cardigan and you need to wait for sales or coupons. Normally I like the summer dresses better. I find the winter dresses look holidayish.
Tottini sells maxi dresses as robes. Very well priced.

I bought this for my daughter last year after someone suggested it here
https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod.....68c2b
size up as instructed and it covers the knees nicely.
I agree with previous poster that I wouldn't do all maxi dresses for that age. My 6 year old likes to run jump and climb.
I also buy stuff on sale at shirtstop online.
I've bought weekday at kal modest wear but they also sell shabbos.

I’ve seen really nice stuff from kidichic but never shopped there.
I know ppl buy on their end of season sales.
Anyone know when they run their best sales?
Haven’t gotten a straight answer from anyone and when I check online moat items are out of stock when on sale.

Personally I find kidichic to be horrible online. Everything's always out of stock. They tend to run their sales at the end of the season, and everything goes really cheap. I only buy there if I can walk into the store. I don't do it online.
I also personally like their boys line better than their girls line. I usually can find one or two dresses that work for my daughter but the boys section has a better fit for my boys.

I got this last year! It was very pretty.
Just now I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod.....e14b4
I ordered a size up for my skinny daughter and the lenth is good. Im going to move some buttons in the back to make the neckline and shoulders smaller.

You can do a search for "girls skater dress" on amazon. Lots of below, comfy dresses.
