Nobody on this thread said anything about naming after them. You do know that Ashkenazi custom is not to name after a living person? And as far as I know, the Sfardim that name after a living person it is only a grandparent.

It’s under baby names.

Why? It is not relavent to you unless you think you should be and are planning on davening for them.

I can’t imagine anyone thinking that’s chutzpah. They might be curious why you’re asking, but chutzpah? Why?

I also don’t see it as a private matter, why is it private?
